Paper Chains

Last night I decided to make a paper chain. The first countdown is to the day we go home for Christmas, the second countdown is to when we have our baby! I know random, but sometimes I get these ideas in my head just like I am a little kid again. At least Adam let's me enjoy my childhood dreams. He even helped me hang the chain and got in a picture with me (not without complaints I might add:)

Sorry the picture is a little crooked...I guess the book I set it on shifted a little

Here is my belly at 25 weeks, it's really growin now and so is my butt unfortunately!

We can't wait to see everyone at Christmas...only 33 more days!!

I guess until that time we'll continue to enjoy the sunny Florida weather
(Note: This picture was taken November 7th, the weather here is still crazy to me!)

Domestic

Since we have been in Florida I find I have more extra time. This could be due to factors including less work hours, less social life, less time with Adam. It's a sad thing really, but instead of moping around I have become quite domestic. A couple weeks ago I made homemade cinnamon rolls for the first time and this week I made my first homemade razzleberry pie (I just couldn't last until Thanksgiving:) Although I really don't enjoy cooking, I LOVE baking treats!

I should have taken more pictures along the way, but here's the finished product!

And here's my belly after eating it, the baby really liked the pie:)

Oh yea, and even though our Cougars have had a few rough games this year, we will forever be fans. Here's another creation by Adam:

Golf, Anniversary, & Halloween

This is what we've been up too lately:

Luckily I got a job with another country club, so golfing still fits into the budget

I play an important role in the whole thing, caddy & cart driver!

Happy 2 year anniversary!!
(I told Adam not to smile too big :)

We decided to celebrate with dinner at the cheesecake factory, but more importantly dessert--YUM!

Note: Please dismiss the messy hair, I was too hungry after golfing to do it after I wore a hat all day! Sometimes that happens, or maybe just when you're pregnant:)

I love the fall--too bad it's still summer in Florida

HAPPY HALLOWEEN!!

It's about time...

We're having a baby!!! This post has been a long time coming, but I have been nervous to post. I just don't feel pregnant so every time I went to the doctor I would wait anxiously to hear the heartbeat or see the ultrasound like for some reason the baby would be gone this time! Kind of weird I know, but I haven't been sick at ALL, I haven't been overly tired, I guess I have been a little more irritable, but for some reason Adam is the only one to notice:) Oh, yea and I have a fat belly.

Anyways, I am definitely pregnant as the pictures below will show you...

Here he is...

Looks kind of like an alien

I can't believe how clear you can see the bones!

See that little foot in the bottom right hand corner?

Look at that cute little bum, my favorite picture so far...

Me, 19 weeks
(Adam studies a lot, hence the self-portrait in the mirror)

So, there ya have it! We are having a little boy on March 3rd and we are so, so excited! Hopefully you are too:)

Visitor

My mom came two weeks ago and we had so much fun!!! We went out to dinner, shopping, to the beach, saw alligators...oh and we ate ice cream everyday, sometimes twice a day:)
While we did all the fun stuff, Adam would like me to note that he was very busy with school and studying. Before you feel too bad, look at the pictures to see it's not entirely true!
Some of these pictures aren't the best quality, I don't know what the deal is with my camera. Pegs is sending more pictures soon so I might have some additions to make...

My cute mom
(she didn't authorize this picture so I might be in trouble:)

Thanks for the good times Mom, come back soon!!

Oh, and to anyone else who wants a trip to Florida, we have an extra bedroom and visitors are always welcome!

Artists in the Making

So, we totally copied this idea from another couple but I would recommend it as a cheap date night to anyone, it was lots of fun! We went to Micheal's and bought a canvas plus some paint and became artists for the day. I have ZERO art experience so my side wasn't looking real good at first (I am not telling which side was mine) but eventually I copied Adam's strokes and he helped fix a few spots and this is what we came up with:

The Artists
(this is an unrelated picture but we didn't take any of us painting together; this is us at a really delicious restaurant on the dock! )

The Finished Product

We realized after that we should have taken more pictures of the progression of the painting because believe me, it came a LONG way! Maybe next time...

Beach Day

On Wednesday I went to the beach with these cute faces:

Grant

Brinley collecting shells

All of the sudden we looked down the beach and the rain was on it's way...

This is what it looked like by the time I got back to my apartment. It rains so hard here and with the rain ALWAYS comes thunder and lightening.
I love it!

Labor Day/Fishing

(Oh, yea we wore sports team shirts and got a free Chick-Fil-A sandwich on the way)

When we got back we all went to a BBQ at Melissa & Kenny's house. It was lots of fun and good to have something to do since it's our first holiday away from family.

The next day I figured Adam would study ALL day because he spent the weekend in Dallas at the BYU game (Go Cougars!) and Labor Day playing with me. But no, his friend Tom invited us to go fishing and he wanted to go. I have only been fishing two other times, once with my uncle in between waterskiing (that didn't work), and once about a month before we moved here with friends in Utah. Neither of those trips were successful and as you can see below the trip in Utah was in the middle of the summer but was FREEZING!

But the scenery was gorgeous!

This trip was a bit different. We went out to Marco Island, waded across this HOT swampy water, caught our own live bait (I left that to Adam and Tom) then walked a path over to the ocean. Yep, fishing off the beach into the ocean. The boys were catching some catfish and ladyfish but they kept seeing this big fish, called Snook that they both wanted. I was just hanging out on the beach getting some sun, I'm not much of a fisher. After about an hour I was getting bored so I asked Adam to show me how. He baited my hook for me and showed me how to cast. I cast once and nothing, then the second cast I felt this huge pull and my line was spinning out like crazy...here's what I found at the end of my line:

My First Catch
Snook

Adam's First Catch
(I totally beat him!)

Adam & Tom

I think Adam's got something here...

Finally a Snook!

Adam ended the day catching up to my fish and he has the tough guy face to prove it:] So the moral of the story is, I like fishing more than I thought and I love living by the beach!
